The New Flyer Xcelsior buses are a sustainable transportation solution that has been designed for a special Bus Rapid Transit (“BRT”) system that improves route capacity and schedule reliability as a part of the Houston Uptown Dedicated Bus Lanes Project. Houston METRO's services go beyond bus and rail, to include curb to curb shuttle service in various communities, curb to curb paratransit service in the City of Houston and most of Harris County, and vanpool service throughout most of the region.
